Always a surprise to the visitors of Hangtown (Placerville). The man hanging can be a little unsettling at first but it has been around for decades as a conversation piece. It is located on Main Street and hangs there all day every day with a few exceptions. Placerville has been around for some time and this used to be how justice was handed down here.
