Stop Wasting Your Precious Time
One of the best laws of nature, but not as well known as Murphy's Law is Parkinson's Law...and here's what it says:
"Work expands to fill the time available for its completion"   - Cyril Northcote Parkinson
To simplify the law..."Tasks take as long as you give them.  If you have an hour, it will take an hour.  If you have 20 minutes, it will take 20 minutes".
How Do You Waste Time? Have you ever looked up only to find that the time has completely gotten away from you?  Whether you spent too much time chatting with a client, on social media, getting sucked in on the Internet or simply wasting time...please know that you are not alone.  While it is a little embarrassing, we've all wasted more time than we would like to admit.  A few months ago I kept a time log.  My task was to write down every activity I did and how much time it took.  I kept the log for two weeks.  Although I thought I was pretty good at managing my time, I found that I was super productive when I had to keep track of my time.  It's kind of like a food journal; ... more
