Alan's Take on the Current Lumpkin County Market
We are just getting through our usual end of the school year slow down.  The last few weeks of school are always slow and the first couple of weeks after it is out because so many people go on vacation as soon as the kids are out.  They are getting back from vacation and out looking in force. Several of my listings are getting lots of activity.  This year is shaping up to be the best year we have had in a long time.  The lower and mid priced homes seem to be selling quickly, often with a few days of hitting the market.  The higher prices are moving but not at the pace of the mid price range homes.
 
If you have a home you would like to sell in the Dahlonega or Dawsonville area I think now is the time while inventory is low. I think if you hold off until new construction picks back up you will have a hard time competing with new homes.
