Diary Of A Hero: Limestone Countertop Restoration in Chicago, ILThe Heroes were called out to this job on a bright sunny Chicago spring day. This stone restoration project conssited of a dual vanity limestone countertop which had several areas effected with etching, dull marks and water stains. This was no job for an average man. It was a job for a HERO!
First we honed the limestone down with a 200 grit polishing pad designed to remove etching from the limestone surface. This provided a nice base to polish the countertop back up to a mirror like finish. We were required to go this low because the etching and water spots were too deep into the limestone countertop.
