Should board certified classess be offered in other languages?
Just this month alone I have received notices for six classes being offered by my board in Spanish.  Are they going to start offering classes in other languages eventually as well?  And how does this encourage a realtor new to the business and this country to learn the native tongue?
Frankly, I don't think it helps anyone in the long run if you cannot speak the language, including your clients who don't speak your language.  At risk of coming across as a racist I think the board should put an end to this practice.  I would not go to South America and ask their board to give me a test and classes in English.  How does that help me?  It's no wonder that when I call another agent in Dade or Broward for showing instructions or to make an offer that I cannot even communicate with them.  I already what you're going to say.  Why don't I learn Spanish?  Now think about that for a minute.  Now let the screaming from Miami-Dade begin in earnest.  Wait a minute, what am I worried about.  They can't read this anyway.
