Danbury,CT Real Estate Difficulties and Challenges
Selling real estate in the Danbury,CT area is a lot tougher than other parts of the country. We do not have large track subvisions of similiar newer homes, where it is easy to price out competive listings.  Not all the homes are sited on level lots or have similiar views, etc.  We have also many homes that pre-date World World II, which are well maintained but may have some conditions that aren't up to current standards.  An overwhelming amount of single family homes are serviced by oil heat, private well water and individual septic systems.  Don't forget there are still some activity in the short sale and REO area of the market. The Danbury area is also comprised of a variety of property tpes including condominiums, waterfronts, multi family homes, established residential neighborhoods and luxury homes. Some catergories have plenty of inventory, others have no available inventory.
Because of it, I have one of the hardest jobs selling homes. I have to be on top of my game as on number of issues, ranging from seeing the differences in each home in the neighborhood to taking on-going education on structural systems of homes  and knowing  qualified  trades-professionals to refere to evaluate systems. Given proper information, living in ... more
