Grateful for my Spouse - 2nd Thanksgiving Post
Today I want to share how grateful I am for my spouse who has been my love and married partner for nearly 50 years and as high school sweethearts that relationship adds three years to our “history”. Has it always been bliss?  Of course not.  But, we were in love and were always committed to each other. 
An essential element to our relationship has been that we have known and loved the Lord our God and prayerfully included Him in decisions and in our daily lives.
It has been during the most challenging times that this “heavenly” relationship has been the glue.
         Loosing infant grand-kids          Tragic deaths          Family betrayals          Financial challenges and failed business ventures          Critical illness In their time each of these heart wrenching situations was overcome together through prayer. Not always joint prayer, but prayer.  One of the most challenging times for me was two years ago when cancer brought my soul-mate down.  We both learned the real meaning of “in sickness and in health”. I learned to pray without ceasing  When words failed, my spirit prayed.
So now, I am ever so grateful that we can again work together, laugh together and even disagree loudly at times over stupid ... more
