Working on a Blustery Sunday: Thankful for my Career
 
SO YOU WANT TO BE A REALTOR.  Guess what--it's great--you can set your own hours as a independent contractor.  However, sometimes you can be surprised by the large volume of work and the INCREDIBLE amount of responsibility it takes to be self-employed.
 
Let's face it--everyone needs a day off, and I didn't get one this week.  I wanted to sleep in today, go to church, read a book, watch some football. However, I am showing waterfront properties today from 10-3 p.m.  And that is SO UNUSUAL in this seasonal area of real estate (and I'm booked for next weekend, also)-but I will take Thanksgiving Day off to be with my family, of course (ironically, my husband will work his police shift 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. that day, but we still get to spend time making a late dinner together).
 
 
2017 was a very special year for me and I am SO thankful for my career, and for my wonderful customers and clients and co-workers and co-brokerages (every day).  I give prayerful thanks that I can continue to work as hard as I have this year (no complaints).  I give thanks for being able to ... more
