Regional Home Sales October 2016
On November 22, 2016, National Association of Realtors (NAR) reported that regional existing home sales in the Northeast grew 1.4% in October of 2016 to an annual rate 750,000 homes from September of 2016, and up 1.4% from October of 2015. The median price in the Northeast was $255,500 in October of 2016, increased 2.9% from October of 2015.
Home sales in the Midwest gained 2.3% in October of 2016 to an annual rate 1.36 million homes from September of 2016, and jumped 6.3% from October of 2015. The median price in the Midwest was $181,500 in October of 2016, higher 5.8% from October of 2015.
Home sales in the South increased 2.8% in October of 2016 to an annual rate 2.22 million homes from September of 2016, and rose 4.7% from October of 2015. The median price in the South was $202,300 in October of 2016, rose 7.4% from October of 2015.
Home sales in the West climbed 0.8% in October of 2016 to an annual rate 1.27 million homes from September of 2016, and jumped 10.4% from October of 2015. The median price in the West was $345,000 in October of 2016, grew 7.8% from October of 2015, according to Adam DeSanctis ... more
