Well, for some things anyway. We can’t turn back time or undo what’s done, but we can start over with many things. 
 
As the sun rises every morning, a new day starts when we can change what we might not have liked that we did the day before, or what we’ve been doing over time, or how we’ve been doing it.
 
We all know the saying “Today is the First Day of the Rest of My Life”. That could be interpreted to mean that new possibilities are open: start a new career, read a new book, travel to a new place, put on different lipstick or a new tie, perhaps say thank you more often, I’m sorry more often, or I love you more freely.
 
With the start of the new year, it’s a good time to think about new beginnings, however big or small they might be. The possibilities are endless; no excuses. Some of the easiest, albeit seemingly difficult things are dieting and exercise. Easiest because they are 100% within our control. Difficult because it’s easy to make excuses about starting tomorrow.
