Zillow Listings (?)
Yesterday my seller emailed me a copy of the Zillow listing for her home. The listing showed all the correct data and all the pictures. The problem is the listing shows for sale by owner and a price of $700,000. The house is not for sale by owner; I am the listing agent and the price is not $700,000. The list price is $830,000.
I know that Realtors pay Zillow for marketing so I sent an email to the three Realtors shown for this property to let them know about the error. I also suggested that they may want to contact Zillow to make sure they are getting the marketing that they are paying for.
The listing shows that it was posted by an owner in Texas. I called the number and it is a company that is closed today. If you are using Zillow marketing you may want to check your data occassionally to make sure the marketing is correct.
In this listing if you scroll to the bottom you will see the actual price. An old rule of business is "inspect what you expect". Zillow does have a "Report Problem Listing" at the bottom of the page and I am sure they ... more
