Ever Have Rain Inside Your Home?
I woke up this morning with the sound of water dripping.  Knowing that we have been expecting rain after the heaviest snowfall I have experienced living in my town in 31 years, it was a welcome sound as that much snow has greatly impacted our lives; children have been out of school for 9 days, roofs have collapsed due to the heavy weight of snow, the need to shovel snow off a roof has created a new business in town, driving has been hazardous, and showing property to prospective buyers (if they don't cancel) a huge challenge. We have been preparing for flooding as warmer temperatures melt the snow with sand bags available for pickup at various locations around town. And some schools were expected to open again today after engineers verified roof safety in lieu of an elementary school's gym roof collapse last week.
Much to my surprise, the water dripping I heard was not rain on the roof, but water dripping into my dining room window. And it wasn't just dripping, but rather pouring.
