Grow other business owners and grow yourself.
Each week I stack 3 hours back to back at the same place to hold 1-to-1 business meetings.  I am always floored by the wealth of information I come away with from these meetings.  I find out more about each person,  their interests, what is a good referral and just as important a Bad referral for them.  I then know what obstacles they might be facing and what are their big goals and how I can help.  
 
Eyeball to eyeball networking as I call it has allowed me to give these people quality referrals.  In turn they find out a bit more about me and my business, but by no means are we doing sales pitches.  I am actively working with 3 different clients from the last 3 weeks activities.  And the best part is that I now have 3 great business owners that I know, like and trust that I recommend to help my clients.
