A NEW CITY HALL & DOWNTOWN IN CORAL SPRINGS, FL.
The city of Coral Springs, FL. has much to be proud of and now that includes a new city hall. Opened in Febuary 2018, the $38.0 million facility at 9500 W. Sample Rd., near the Southwest corner of Sample Road & University Dr. is a five story building with conference rooms available to the public for a fee, lobby, four story garage, space for the Chamber of Commerce and an employee gym. 
The building is expected to form part of a new city core or 'downtown' for Coral Springs along with another project, already known as the Coral Springs City Center (CSCC). Also planned for the Southwest corner of Sample & University Dr.,  CSCC will be a 168.0 million project consisting of an eight story, 450 rental apartment tower, a 150 room hotel with parking garage, a grocery store & restaurants, per its developer, Boca Raton, Fl. based Ron Sheldon.  The Northwest corner where the old city hall is located, meanwhile, may become home to more residential and/or retail development, especially if it's combined with the site of an existing shopping plaza just to the east.
