The word INTERO in Italian translates to 'whole' or 'complete'.  This restaurant on East Cesar Chavez knows exactly what that means! We love to support the locals who venture into creating a unique dining experience. These owners are delightful and warmly embrace their patrons and have poured their heart in soul in giving us a sliver of Italy right here in Austin!

Intero offers a modern Italian inspired menu that highlights the changing seasons in Central Texas.  They totally embrace the importance of sustainability by using locally farmed produce and locally raised whole animals. Austin born and raised husband and wife duo, Ian Thurwachler and Krystal Carig, plus third wheel McVay Bennett have joined forces and with 40 years of combined experience have a winner on their hands! 
 
Italian food is deep-rooted in necessity and thanks toward every ingredient which drives the idea behind their restaurant.  Since their focus is on sustainability, the reclaimed materials are noticeable throughout their interior design creating an inviting dining atmosphere. A dear friend recently dined there and she and her husband can't wait to go back! The menus change and are updated daily.
