Welcome to Door County, Wisconsin---and to Sister Bay, voted Door County's most popular destination in 2016.  Why?  There are so many reasons to visit and live in Sister Bay that I could write 5,000 words and not run out of ideas and recommendations, but I'll tell you first the simple thing Wikipedia states about Sister Bay:
 
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 3.58 square miles, of which 2.58 square miles is land and 1.00 square mile is water.
 
Note the last part of that sentence:  Out of 3.58 square miles, one mile is water.  Nearly one third of the Village of Sister Bay is water.
 
Do we enjoy that water?  Yes, we locals surely do. And so does everyone else.  It's the lifeblood of the year-round Village of Sister Bay.
