Come Visit the Customs House Museum in Clarksville, TN
It's Free Admission Saturday
On the second Saturday of every month you can bring friends and family and everyone gets in free. This is one of the great reasons to visit Downtown Clarksville and this historic site. Though the Customs House Museum is interesting to visit any day of the week when you get in free it makes it even better. This is an opportunity to learn more about the area and the City of Clarksville.. 
Check out the permanent exhibits and featured exhibitis being offered at the Museum.
The beautiful architecture makes this building Clarksville's most unique building. You'll find it located on the corner of Commerce and Second St. across from the Montgomery County Courthouse.
The Customs House Building dates back to 1897. To see the full history of the Museum click here. The oldest portion of the building was designed to be used as a Federal Post Office for the tobacco businesses of Clarksville. Visit the postmaster's office on the first floor of the museum.
The architect William Martin Aiken used several of the styles popular during the Victorian Era so the building takes on an eclectic look. It has served many purposes over that last 50 years.
