Chef Dolores is still in the recovery mode after her recent cataract surgery. One of her special requests was to go to Carrabba's Italian Grill for the Saturday evening happy hour to enjoy a couple of her favorite dishes. We sit in a booth in the bar area to take advantage of the half price appetizers and the house wine specials.
Our selections were the Calamari, hand breaded and served with marinara sauce and Dolores' favorite Tomato Caprese with Fresh Burrata, creamy burrata mozzarela, fresh basil, red onions, balsamic glaze, drizzled with extra virgin olive oil. The house white wine was perfect. Marissa was our server and her service was outstanding.
We had dessert at home. Chef Dolores' plum crumble and a cup of tea.
