Water coming into the foundation of a home? Sylvania, Toledo
 
If you live in Toledo, Sylvania, or the surrounding areas, either you or someone you know probably has had an issue with water coming into the foundation of a home.  Let's face it, maybe it is due to we live in an area that was once a swamp. Do you have a foundation problem?  Here may be a simple solution to prevent water coming into the foundtion of a home.
Tim Carter's article in the Toledo Blade on 10.7.18 may have a solution to prevent water intrusion into a basement area.  Tim suggests a product that has been around for years.  It is called hydraulic cement.  This product according to Tim may solve your problem in a matter of minutes.
So now I am sure you are saying, how do I solve my problem.  According to Tim, just mix a little bit of hydraulic cement with water.  This combination causes a chemical reaction and the "plastic mix expands in volume."
As the mixture hardens and expands into the hole or crack, the water can no longer come through the opening.  A few tips from Tim is you want the area to be clean.  No dust, dirt, oils, and if your basement is like mine, spider webs.  ... more
