52 Saturdays - Week 43 - Memorial park in Columbia, SC
  Located just a block away from Finely Park in downtown Columbia, SC is a seven acre city park known as Memorial Park. Memorial Park was dedicated in 1986 with the unveiling of The South Carolina Vietnam monument which is a free standing granite wall with the names of the 980 South Carolinian who died or were missing in action during the Vietnam War. This is just one of the monuments on the grounds honoring those that fought and died for our country.
  Memorial Park also has plenty of benches that allow one to bird watch, reflect, rest, or just enjoy some fresh air while taking a little break from the city.
