It's Black Friday today so many of you are out shopping for bargains. I'm sure you've all had your fill of turkey so I've got just the place for you to stop and rest those tired feet and feast on some good food! The site of this restaurant dates back to 1842 and a local innkeeper who felt very strongly about preserving Austin as the capital of Texas.

Angelina Eberly was not afraid of President Sam Houston, and, let he and his Texas Rangers know how much she wanted to keep Austin as the capital of TX by firing a cannon at them during a rebellion.    The restaurant was founded by a group of Austinites not only as a reminder that Austin is worth fighting for, but, as a tribute to the free spirit of Angelina Eberly.
