Seeing the Sparkle in His Eyes was Priceless - Making a Difference
I was visiting an assisted facility living facility and bringing balloons to one of their residents.
Was excited to see his face as I decorated his room with the green and red balloons.  The red balloons were hearts and the green balloons were stars.  Together, it did remind me of Christmas.  Although, it wouldn't have mattered what color the balloons were.   
I was doing this out of love, compassion and in a way selfish reasons...to feel like I was making a difference for another human being.
I had purchased the balloons at the local Dollar Tree, thinking that I'd be including one with my Client deliveries.  Then when I got them in the car, I decided otherwise.
The gentleman I was visiting is in the life guidance section.  This is a locked section of the facility that caters to those suffering from Dementia and Alzheimer's.  It is locked because these residents may at some time become a bit more volatile and unpredictable with their behavior which if they had access to leave, maybe they would.  
I wheeled him in is wheelchair upstairs to the restaurant because he said, "Can I have a cup of coffee?"
