By now, a sweet treat of an annual tradition in Charlotte's Ballantyne area: a visit to the Gingerbread Lane at the Ballantyne Hotel. You'll enjoy an enchanting display of edible creations. Gingerbread Lane is free to visit and open to the public. For a $1 minimmum donation you can vote for your favorite gingerbread house entry.  There are three separate competitions for giingerbread house entries: professional, amateur, and one for kids ages 6-12. All proceeds will go to the Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte.
 
Whether you've lived in Ballantyne for many years or are a newcomer, you're sure to make a visit to the Gingerbread Lane at the Ballantyne Hotel your own annual sweet holiday tradition in years to come.
