Do you love the beauty of the Desert? Do you want to learn more about the desert, its plants, animals, and rich history?  Arizona- Sonora Desert
Museum is the place to go.There is so much to do and see here! My personal favorite is the animals. The animals are in their natural habit and there are so many!  You can see them up close and personal all while enjoying the natural beauty of the desert.    On a recent visit- my favorite was the javelina exhibit. There were a few that were all snuggled together, and then there were a few that were moseying around the exhibit.     What's a javelina? First- let's pronounce javelina [hah-vuh-lee-nuh] correctly.  A javelina is medium sized animal, similar to a boar.  They have short legs, salt and pepper very coarse coat and a pig like nose. You'll never see a javelina in a petting zoo- they are not friendly creatures- but they are very fascinating.
