Motivational Monday - Know When to Hold 'Em...and Fold 'Em
 
A dear friend recently went through prepping for a major hiccup in life, only to be fully prepped and show up to pure chaos in her life. I can totally relate to prepping for family 'emergencies' that we can anticipate and either the emergency happening before we're fully prepped or something causing a cancellation of plans. The positive in me wants to say, "Hey, this gives me time I didn't know I had! Time is such a critical thing in our lives - especially at our age - and the gift of unexpected time is truly a blessing.
 
There is a small part of me that would have wanted to continue an argument to remain on schedule/task - deal with the chaos at hand and move one. That, in my mind, would be a knee-jerk reaction and is rarely ever the right one!
 
 
Sometimes you've just got to know when to fold 'em! Know that the argument or chaos that is taking place needs to be replaced with peace and harmony in our, already, chaotic lives. Kudos to my friend who chose the former and who, in turn, celebrated having that gift of time back in her life. Such ... more
