What to expect during your final walk through
Once you have purchased your property, your agent should have a preset time in your contract prior to close for you to go back through the property and take a look at the property prior to closing. This is called the walk through. This is a great time to make sure the property is in the same condition as it was the day you purchased the property. You will want to make sure all repair work has been completed if you asked for repairs during your inspection resolution.
A great way to treat a walk through is start at the front door and work your way through the property. Start by turning on all lights, check all the appliances, check all the closets, attic, cabinets to make sure most of the items are out. If they are not, be sure to inquire if the seller plans to remove the items.
Run the bath, shower, flush the stools, check the fridge, check all the appliances, and turn on the air or furnace depending on the weather.
