Bailey’s General Store on Sanibel Island Begins Serving Beer and Wine
Bailey’s General Store is now serving beer and wine at its coffee bar daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Gateway Gold and High Five IPA, locally brewed craft beers from Fort Myers Brewing, are now available along with White Claw Mango hard seltzer. Twelve ounce servings of beer are $5. In addition, Bailey’s is serving red wine, Josh Cellars cabernet sauvignon, and a white wine, William Hill chardonnay. Each five ounce wine serving is $9. Guests can enjoy their beverages on the verandah in front of the store. Bailey’s hopes to add more beer and wine menu items in the future.
Bailey’s Coffee Bar has been meeting the needs of Sanibel residents and visitors for over 110 years. In addition to the new beer and wine service the coffee bar offers hot and iced espresso coffees, hot chocolate, smoothies and other refreshing drinks and freshly baked snacks all served in the comfortable and historic atmosphere of Bailey’s. Trip Advisor has awarded Bailey’s Coffee Bar a certificate of excellence annually since 2015 based on the consistently high reviews from residents of and travelers to Sanibel.
