Property Tax Rates for Maui County 2019, By Island Lending Hawaii

As we nearing the End of the Year, I highly recommend the Filing / Claim for Home Exemption. If you have filed before you are not required to file each year as long you are occupying your Home or Condo.

There are several requirements that have to be met in order to qualify 
1 You own and occupy this property as your principal residence as of January 1, 2010, and filed a claim for home exemption on or before December 31, 2019. Must occupy more than two hundred seventy ( 270 ) days per the calendar year. 
2, You understand to file a 2018 State of Hawaii Resident Income tax Return with a reported address in the County prior to January 1. 2020  Annual filing required thereafter  ( Note Non-Resident and part-year resident State of Hawaii income tax returns do not qualify for the home exemption ) 
3, The Property Taxes are not delinquent on this Parcel. ( Note No Home exception shall be allowed if taxes on the property are delinquent  ) 
Please submit the Claim with proof of Age and ID.
