Awesome Day 5 - Listening to the Rain Drip
We had winter weather here today in DC - nothing like the snow that hit Chicago last night and shut the city down - or the blizzard that dumped 19 inches on Lake Tahoe and caused an avalanche.  We don't get that kind of weather in DC - or at least when we do - we call it snowmaggedon and the city shuts down and we lose power for three days - and the world comes to an end - at least within the beltway because we are not made of sterner stuff here.
Instead - we had rain and a little bit of gunk mixed into it - maybe a little sleet or snow - but just a little.  I had a meeting with a client and then I came home and turned the fireplace on.  Around 4, Arthur and I went out for a walk in the rain - and it was raining hard.  He had on his raincoat - which only covers his back and underbelly.  His head was bare and bowed and his four legs and paws were trying to dance through the rain gushing along the gutters and down the middle of the street.  Every once in ... more
