Lawyers. My brother was one till he retired. Guess he could still be one. I have played lawyers in the movies and on TV. But I never expected to become one in real life, or at least do some of a lawyers work.
Let me explain (complain). Yesterday I had my seller clients come to my office to sign closing documents. These were overnighted to me by the real closing attorney. We set this up so that my clients would not be exposed to the Covid-19 floating around. 
So, I get these papers and notice right away one set of papers is missing a signature block. I notify the attorney and new docs are emailed back to me for printing. Then I notice something wrong with the closing numbers. Back comes the updated doc. Realtor Pete learning to be a lawyer! And of course the late updated closing doc that came in an hour after my clients had signed and left the building was fun, too.
So we get to signing and I now have to describe to my clients what each of the docs are and what they mean to them. This is what the lawyers do at the closing table. Now, having ... more
