It's hard to believe it's been 9 years since the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton. Yesterday, April 29th, was the anniversary. I'm sure that made your day knowing that!
 
I took this photo ON April 30th in 2011 of the Cardiff Kook, a popular 6' tall bronze surfing statue in Cardiff by the Sea, that was all dressed up for the occasion. It's located on the Coast Highway at the light at Chesterfield (the downtown area of town) on the ocean side.
 
The statue, officially named the "Magic Carpet Ride", was installed in 2007, and over the years has become a favorite of numerous pranksters, dressing it up for holidays, special events, and just for fun.
 
The Cardiff Kook even has a website where you can see plenty of fun photos (I don't think it's the full collection but I'm not sure)!
