The Me generation
The Me generation
Instant gratification, we are surrounded by people who want to cut corners.
In a recent blog post I spoke of a couple who made an offer $65k under the asking price, because they didn't like the homes in their price range.
What happened to the times of working your way up to your dream home?
The 3 things I explain to young buyers before we search are,
I don't want you to become mortgage poor. Stay within your budget! How long are you planning on living here? This is a stepping stone investment. We will try to find you a house that meets 75% of your wants or needs. Anymore than 75% is a bonus. If you can afford it, build a home with everything you desire. When they start looking with these things in mind, Buyers understand that they can enjoy life and have a nice house. If a couple both have to work to make a mortgage payment and live a lifestyle above their means, we all pay in the long run...
