What really turns me off.....

I cannot recall the number of times that I have walked into a classroom, meeting room, office or social gathering and found someone that I looked up to and admired speaking ill of another, who by the way, was nowhere in sight.  I have never been one to listen to or spread gossip.  I will either walk away from a group or express my concern that it is not a becoming quality to talk negatively about others. 
I tell my children also that if you would not repeat what you are planning to say in front of who you are planning to say it about....then maybe it's not something you should be saying at all.
Obviously, there are times that require a discussion of an individual's behavior or attitude, however, if it is that important, the person of interest should be involved.
