lavender blossoms: Lavender Jelly - from garden to dinner table

Making lavender jelly from flowers harvested from my garden and serving it at my dinner table was a delightful experience. Three years ago, my husband and I gutted the backyard of our 1960's home, whose yard had been neglected for 15 years or more. So in rebuilding our yard, I planted numerous flowering bushes and shrubs that would attract birds, bees and butterflies. I planted 4 Lavender bushes because the smell of blooming lavender flowers is heavenly. Little did I know that I would be harvesting and drying the many blooms produced by these plants.
