Berkeley Forest Homes For Sale In Columbia SC Back in 1969 this neighborhood sprang up on the outer edge of SE Columbia. Berkeley Forest was built in 4 phases if I remember correctly, and all the homes were sprawling solid brick ranches. For some reason back then the builders installed oak hardwood flooring in every home that was immediately covered with wall to wall carpet. And not just any carpet, either. SHAG carpet!!
