In recent years there has been a surge in the number of people purchasing a second home to be used as a vacation home. The Katrina Cottage is certainly an interesting option for those wanting to stay in a hurricane-devastated area while their house is being rebuilt. It's also a viable option for anyone who wants to enjoy land they've purchased and intend to eventually build their custom home on, but are not ready to build the full-size version yet. While searching the Internet for a cabin rental for a vacation I recently took, I found what I thought would be a nice cabin to rent. Well, sure enough, the cabin itself was nice (just as I'd seen in the multiple photos provided on the website). Unfortunately, before booking the reservation I did not take into account the one photo that was missing -- the one of the view. Had I realized this sooner, I would've asked to see a photo of the view before renting the cabin and at that point decided it was not the one for me or my … (5 comments)
