Summer AR Meetup: Metro Denver, Colorado It's always a good time when ActiveRain members get together and our meetup last Monday was no different! We had a wonderful turnout and a lovely evening! Dick and Mary Greenberg made the drive down from Fort Collins to be with us. (My first time meeting Mary!) Places to Visit in Metro Denver: The Butterfly Pavilion Last week my mom, sister and niece were visiting. My niece is going to be 7 years old in November, so most of what we did revolved around things that she would like to do. One of the places we decided to visit is The Butterfly Pavilion. My First Tea Party AND a Chance to Pay It Forward As many of you know, I was quite ill last year and I spent quite a bit of time in the hospital. 10 weeks of my hospitalization occurred at Kindred Hospital in Denver. Kindred is a Long Term Acute Care facility. A few weeks ago, I received an invitation to a Tea Party at Kindred. The therapy deparment has an annual Tea Party for past and present patients. I moved to Colorado in the Spring of 1991. It didn't take me long to figure out that Denver is a Sports Town. We have it all ~ basketball, football, hockey, soccer, lacrosse and of course, baseball. The Rockies made Colorado fans proud last night. After giving up the lead to the San Francisco Giants in the top of the 4th inning, they regained the lead in the bottom of the inning! In the 5th inning they scored 7 runs! The Giants didn't have a chance, the Colorado offense was on fire!
