It is that time of year when the nights turn cool and the apples are ready for picking at the local Big Apple fruit and vegetable farm in Wrentham, MA! The Big Apple is located in Wrentham, on the southern end of Franklin only a few minutes from rt. 495 King Street (exit 16) Here is information from their website:

Locals know that Wrentham, Massachusetts is a quaint small town with neighborhoods, antique shops and the Wrentham Outlet Mall. A non-resident may not realize that the town has one section on the south where the lot sizes are a 2 acre minimum, with farms and many historic homes--this section is called Sheldonville.
This tiny section of town has its own small post office and general store that gets frequented by nearby residents as well as those commuters from adjacent Cumberland, Rhode Island. An adorable antique Cape at 1043 West Street, Wrentham is a new listing to the real (1 comments)

My son and I just drove past the Mount Saint Mary's Abbey in Wrentham, MA near to our Franklin, MA home and happened to witness the assembly of the wind turbine on top of the recently assembled tower! It was quite a sight to behold as the top was being put on... I checked their website and the nun's Twitter (I kid you not) updates follow the recent progress and disappointments of their eagerly anticipated project. The monastery intends to become self-sufficient regarding their energy use and was fortunate enough to have the ideal setting for a wind turbine to be (1 comments)
