Due to a few unusual factors in Shreveport and Bossier City, I believe this is one of the best times ever to purchase investment/rental properties in our area. First and foremost, the mortgage industry has made it more complex for people with marginal credit to purchase a home, so vacancy rates in the area are very low. With all the chatter of Barksdale Air Force Base beefing up and the possibilities of part of Cyber Command, housing on base will fill up quickly.
