I feel that this is a most important election. I know that folks feel so strongly both ways. This is our God given RIGHTS as AMERICANS to express our opinion. WE have the Right to CHOOSE our destiny as Americans.

Today, my husband asked to see if I had some special Christmas Recipes. I told him that I just cooked and really did not use a recipe book.
Our local newspaper is printing a recipe book for Holiday Recipes and I need your help in sharing some good ones to our local folks here in Southport, North Carolina.

Today was our Grandson Joshua's 7th Birthday.
WE went to church and then came home for Joshua's Birthday Dinner
For Dinner I cooked....
Ham
Potato Salad
Rice & Gravy
Corn
Peas
Butter Beans
Stewed Potatoes
Sweet Pototoes
Roll & Butter
Cornbread
Tea
and of course Birthday Cake
After a lot of fun eating and talking...we the time to open the Gifts..
We all had a great time watching these 4 Grandchildren playing with each other. At one point it got very quiet....andwe all wondered what was going on.

I don't know about you all, but I am having a harder time pleasing the BPO folks. I am giving them factual information based on our local MLS and the figures tell the truth. They are wanting us to go back and get closer comparable properties When nothing has sold in that area you must go outside that community to find comparable to do the analysis.
I am also finding, after I have done the work...they order has been canceled.
Then, we have spent our time and energy to do the work and will not be compensated for it.

I have a friend that has done some Website work for another Realtor. The reworked the site and added information on other communities. Did the writing and doctored the pictures.
She spend right much time on this and after it was completed, submitted a bill for the work that was done.
The Realtor, looked it over and said it was good. That he liked it. My friend submitted a bill for $75. for her work, which is totally reasonable.
The other agent, changed his password to get into the website and them offered her $30 for her work. She said no, … (23 comments)

Today was my husbands Birthday and we have had a marvelous day with the family.
Church first thing, (I told the Minister that it was Jimmy's Birthday) and he made a big deal of it.
Then home for the Sunday Dinner that I had prepared before going to church.
Menu:
Roasted Pork Ribs
Beef Roast
Corn
Peas
Butterbeans
Rice
Buttered Potatoes
Gravy
EggPlant and Onions
Sweet Tea
and of course Birthday Cake that had blue icing..(turned our tongues and teeth blue)
Just a very wonderful Family day with 12 folks at the table.

It's Another Monday in Southport~Oak Island
FALL is here. Temperatures have been in the 80 to 90's along the coast and Summer is over.
I do know that the fishing is good. WE have Drum, Flounder, Trout in the creek and they sure do taste mighty good when fresh caught and prepared for the frying pan. Fix a bit of cole slaw and cut your own french fries and fry...a few hushpuppies and you have a meal fit for a King or Queen. Lemon pie for dessert.
The time is here...come South for the joy of it.

WE work so hard to get to this point.
It makes all the difference in the world if you are working with good buyers and good sellers..
I was working with both.
YOu meet your sellers for a short time...and build a relationship and then you close and
you feel a sense of loss.
I am not going to loose these folks....they are keeper...

Well...This is the time of the year that the Grape Stomping takes place on Beaver Dam Creek in Southport, North Carolina.
For the past 4 days, we have been picking muscadin grapes, I have been stomping them (with very clean feet)..We are finding that is the easiest way to crush them. Then the processing begins.
Stomped Grapes, Sugar, Sure jell...
Ending up with the best tasting jelly ever...
Fresh bread, real butter and fresh stomped grape jelly....Ah..the life...

Condo Associations
Have you ever heard of a condo association foreclosing on a condo and then buying it with dues of the owners?
We are having something like that going on here and I do not know who to go to for help. I can't help but think that this is wrong. Have rules changed....if they have, I feel that human decency has eluded us.
I have great concern for the folks that lost their unit even though they were trying to work out a payment schedule with the association.

I actually tried this before I chose to pass it on. You may want to do the same thing. It worked for me instantly. I called and asked for Kerr Drug, Concord, NC ... immediately, I heard Kerr Drug on Church Street ( I smiled ) and then instantly Bob, the Pharmacist said, Kerr Drug Pharmacy. . . .this will save us money because it states that it is nationwide and absolutely FREE. ALWAYS READ THE LABELS ON THE FOODS YOU BUY--NO MATTER WHAT THE FRONT OF THE BOX OR PACKAGE SAYS, TURN IT OVER AND READ THE BACK---CAREFULLY! With all the food and pet products now coming from China , it is best to make sure you read labels at the grocery store and especially Walmart when buying food products. Some of our "100 Days to Greatness" folks went to the Richmond, Virginina, Turning Point classes with Brian Buffini.
They came back so pumped up and ready to do business and I will plan to go to the next course that they have close to me.
I know that the system works because, last week, I had 3 listings and 1 sale...using the Buffini System.

Well...Today is Friday. I always look so forward to this day. It is a time when I know I have a few days to breathe..
Work is intense right now and that is good. But my tongue is hanging out by Friday.
I know that a lot of us can not do it...but the weekends are my family days. There are weekend that are certainly an exception..But there are some things that are more important than money..
(Lets see what I say in the Winter with no money and no food) LOL
