upstate south carolina: A New Trend for Buyers?

I have noticed a trend with buyer clients in the past several weeks. The buyers start out with a mission to find the best possible deal on the market. These are qualified buyers. So the buyer and I do the search process and then the elimination process. The search is narrowed down to a couple of choices and of course they must think about it to weigh all of their options. Then the buyer comes back to say I don't think any of these will work. Can we keep looking? We start over. This keeps repeating. Are you getting the picture? Then as you probably … (7 comments)

. Curb Appeal is just as important for the exterior of a home as staging is important for the interior of the home. Simple things like general clean up, pressure washing, painting, replacing or adding shutters, landscaping and neatly trimmed grass and shrubs will cause buyers heads to turn. A house with curb appeal will make the house shout look at me. Does anybody else have any inexpensive curb appeal suggestions?

It is the first day back to school for most Upstate, South Carolina Schools today. It is back to structure, schedules, homework, projects, bedtimes,and alarm clocks. It is also a time for new and old friends, new teachers and new beginnings. The next couple of weeks will be an adjustment for teachers, students and parents, but we will all be back into the routine quickly. Go Away Fay!! According to the national news, Fay is slated to the hit the Florida Keys as a Hurricane. The tourist have been ordered to leave and now the residents are boarding up their homes and businesses to wait for the worse. I can't imagine how it would be to wait for a storm to pass to see if my family would survive, if my home would be standing or if my business would sustain. Wow!! The USA has performed wonderfully in the 2008 Olympics. I am so proud of all of our athletes even those that have not won a medal. The athletes and coaches have dedicated their lives for the honor to participate in the Olympics. Yes, I mean HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL. Can you believe it is time to start another exciting season? The official season hasn't started yet, but some area teams have played in Jamborees. The Jamborees were packed with area teams with talent, skill and determination. It is sure indicator that this season will be full of excitement, twist and turns.

I just received some helpful information from Nationwide Insurance concerning important phone numbers to store in your cell phone. I thought this would be a good idea for everybody, but especially Realtors. Emergency situations can happen and we all need to be prepared. Here are the suggested numbers: I.C.E.- In Case of Emergency-the number for your contact in case of an emergency Home Phone Number- this helps with a lost phone or emergency personnel can use it to contact family members. I had the pleasure of taking a class today at the Keller Williams office on "Running a Successful Open House". The open house usually does not sell the home, but brings prospects for the Realtor to build a future database. The Realtor can generate more results with the selection of the house, preparation, strategically placed signs, useful information such as the CMA for the house, school information and other listings, and give-aways. Of course, follow up after the open house is crucial to turning a prospect into a client. This was a great class. Thanks to the Gardner Team!!
