The Orlando Regional Realtor Association ® released the market figures for Orange County and Seminole County today. For the first time in several years now, I am optimistic about where the market is headed.  We still have a long way to go by all means, but the numbers are encouraging.  Inventory continues to decrease while sales continue to remain steady.  New listings are less than there were in February 2008 and days on the market continues to decrease.  Here is a direct link to all the statistics.  Orange County market statistics.

The latest market number for December 2008 have been provided by the Orlando Regional Realtor Association (R).  You can read a more detailed version of the report with lots of charts and graphs at the Metro Orlando market statistics webpage.
The info shows a lot more of the same trend we have been seeing for months.  Inventory slowly declining, sales remaining steady, days on market slowly drifting downward, prices still going down.  The big decline in inventory for December is typical because many listings expire on December 31 - it happens every year. This is typically followed by a surge of new listings in January. The November 2008 market stats have been released by the Orlando Regional Realtor Association (R) for Orange County & Seminole County.  Here are how the numbers played out.  You can find a detailed weblink to these  Orange County market statistics right here.
The month of November is typically a slower time of year as it starts the holiday season.  So there are less people buying and typically less pending contracts and closings.  These numbers show nothing unusual.  Listing inventory continues to decrease ever so slightly.  The number of new pending contracts and closings is less than previous months which is not a surprise.

The latest real estate market statistics are now available for Orange County Florida, Seminole County Florida, and metro Orlando.  All information is provided by the Orlando Regional Realtor Association.  You can get detailed info at the Realtor website.
Listings are up a little bit over the last 2 months and solds are down a little as well.  However for the most part things are relatively flat.  Inventory, pendings, and solds have basically stayed about the same for most of the last 15 months or so.  Orlando has a stronger economy than many other areas of the country and that has helped give the housing market some … (0 comments)
