In a move that makes sense, the Page, AZ, Pumpkin Festival and the Page Lake Powell Annual Fall Festival have merged this year and will be occurring Oct, 24th through the 26that Page City Park. It was sad to see the Pumpkin Fest, which had won for most pumpkins lit up at one time for many of the years it entered in the state tally, go the wayside. This year, in a combined effort from Page's Helping Hands Agency and the Page Youth Center there will again be pumpkins glowing at city park. page az news: Lake Powell area has a new Emergency Room

The main hospital serving the Page Hospital first opened it's doors in the late 1950's to service the then government town, of Page, Arizona. It's goal was care for the construction workers and their families who were part of the Glen Canyon Dam project which ran from 1956 to 1966. The roads to Page were not even paved until the early 1960's to give you an idea of how remote it was. Things have changed...
