What is a real estate marketing fee? Simply put-it is an arbitrary amount of money a Listing Agent will charge a Selling Agent for helping him/her market the property they are listing on MLS.
My question to the Seller is-why did you hire that Listing Agent if they were going to charge another agent to sell the listing?
Did your agent disclose the fact that they were going to charge a marketing fee? Did you Mr./Mrs. Seller know that that marketing fee could negatively impact your listing, no showings or reduced shoings?

toronto real estate: Toronto residential sales increase in volume and average dollars week ending May 7 - 05/12/09 11:59 AM
The dollar value of homes sold this week in the east, west and north are up approximately 3%. The dollar value of homes sold in the central area is up 5% for week ending May 7. The average price of all homes has increased approximately 3%.
The numbers of homes sold have increased however. East up 6%, West up 2%, Central up 15% and North up 10%. The increase in total is up 7%.

toronto real estate: How did Toronto Home Sales end as of April 30? - 05/04/09 10:19 AM
The dollar value of homes sold this week in the east, west and north are down down approximately 2%. The dollar value of homes sold in the central area is up 2% from week endin April 16. The average price of all homes has decreased approximately 1/2%.
The numbers of homes sold have increased however. East up 36%, West up 24%, Central up 35% and North up 36%. The increase in total is up 31%.

toronto real estate: Toronto Condo, Skymark 2 SOLD in 1 week OVER ASKING - 03/23/09 11:05 PM
It is so important to list your properties at a price that will attract a lot of buyers. I carefully reviewd the most recent sales in the building. They were taking over two and a half months to sell. The listings had been reduced. My sellers did not want the condo to sit that long vacant with all the expenses to pay out.
After careful consideration I took a listing in Skymark 2 for slightly under the last sale. The last sale in the building was $211,000 asking $215,000. reduced from $220,000. That unit had been totally renovated.
