4th of july in oregon: Fishing - A great way to spend the 4th of July in Oregon

We wanted to do something different this year, avoiding the carnivals, large crowds and festivities. There is nothing wrong with those events, in fact they are very patriotic. We just were in the mood for something quiet. So, my husband and I made plans to go fishing this morning. We are not experienced fishers by any means, we have only been out a handful of times. So we obtained or fishing licenses, rounded up the gear (dusted it off) and set the alarm to get up early. We checked the Oregon Fishing Guide to find out the limits, required bait and … (6 comments)
