Now that its prime time for seasonal rental reservations I thought I would explain what the Tourist Development Tax is. The Tourist Development Tax is a 5% charge on the revenue generated from rentals of six months or less. This amount is in addition to the state sales tax which is 6.5% in Palm Beach County. Even the dogs live the good life in Boca Raton. The Canine Cove Dog Park is up and running at South County Regional Park just off of Glades Rd. in West Boca Raton. This is a Palm Beach County facility which is very nicely laid out with separate areas for big dogs and small dogs.
