Seligman, Arizona is a little-known, tiny town located between Flagstaff and Kingman on Interstate Highway 40. It is known as "The birthplace of Route 66" because it is located on one of the first, if not the first stretch of Route 66, the first transcontinental highway. The town was an important railroad town in the last quarter of the ninteenth century. Until recently, the Harvey House was an important landmark.
