As we are all aware, constant updating of our website will cause the search page robots to take notice. What better way to keep your website content fresh and up to date than with a RSS feed from your Active Rain blog? I have come to find out that there are good agents in this business and then there are the not-so-good agents. There are the ones who will give up their commissions without so much as even a effort to make sure that they are paid what they are worth...or then again maybe they are paid what they are worth. Then there are the agents that overprice a listing just to get their sign in the yard in this market. I think the second, overpricing a listing, is worse than the first. Has anyone started to use the new product on the market called the showing beacon? I have been hearing more and more about these as our association has been working with this company. Apparently you place this item in the home and the showing agent is asked to push the red button upon the exit of the showing. Then the showing beacon wirelessly connects to the base unit in the home (up to 100 ft away) that is connected to a house telephone jack. I d imagine that some of you already know about the site, Neighboroo.com. If not let me bring you up to speed. Neighboroo.com was created to display statistics about neighborhoods...and it was good at it too! Talk about a way to become the neighborhood professional representative. You could find and learn the statistics for an area that you wanted to have more business in and then talk about that area with a commanding presence. Why is it that it is so hard to get someone to take advantage of something that is for their own good? Let me explain. Both I and my Team Leader, Eric Anderson, of the Fayetteville, NC Keller Williams office preach ActiveRain all the time. We have begged, pleaded and short of borrowed to get other agents to visit. I have posted fliers in the office and even told others of a referral that I recieved from a fellow Active Rain member that turned into a sale as well as explained the extensive wealth of knowledge that can be found here.
