Green Valley's Newest Community--Solterra By Fairfield & Dorn Homes
Sales slowed in the month of June for the Green Valley, Arizona Real Estate market with 66 homes sold as compared to 110 in the month of May.   However, the market continues to outperform last year with YTD sales at 599 as compared to 502 in 2011.  This increase in sales has not yet translated into improved prices as the graphs below illustrate:

July put the GREEN back into Green Valley, Arizona with the arrival of a very active Monsoon season.  The copious amounts of rainfall has managed to erase the devastating remnants of the Murphy fire that raged far too close to my home.  Gone are the black charred mountains and in its place, is the welcome sight of new growth.  They are covered with a lush green layer of new vegetation...a reminder that we can all rise from the very worst to be beautiful once again.

June 2011 was a month for the history books as Arizona battled one of the worst wildfire seasons in its history.  Despite the major fires raging throughout the state, real estate sales remained almost on par with May's numbers--62 sales in June as compared to 67 in May.  Interstingly, the number of sales year to date for 2011 are identical to the same time period in 2010 at 499. 
The average selling price YTD continues to bump along.  Despite a dip in June, it remains consistent with 2010, providing a glimmer … (1 comments)

Active listings hit 946 in the month of November as compared to 918 in November 2009.  The number of sales climbed to 50 as compared to 40 in October and the average list price rose slightly from $224,795 in October to $226,757 in November.
While the average selling price continued its slow recovery since January, it still is lagging behind this time last year when the average selling price was $177,671.
