Questions to ask yourself before you go out and start looking at houses. 1. Do you have a stable job that you plan to stay at? Where do want to be in 5 years? If you plan on changing jobs is it going to be in the same area? Do you have money saved for the down payment & closing cost? 2. Can you afford to own a home? There are lots of web site out there for you to add your criteria to get your answers but the best thing to do is to sit down with your local Loan (7 comments)
Are you a full-time professional Realtor®? Knowing whether or not your agent practices full time can help you determine potential scheduling conflicts and his or her commitment to your transaction. A full time agent is more likely to get the job done more efficiently. HOWEVER, this is not to say that a Part-Time agent in incapable of doing the job just as well. I know I am new BUT, I have had a few e-mail me off my ads/listings, say they are coming to town and to call them. I call and nobody will answer the phone, return my call. I figure they are interested or they would not haved given me their phone number to begin with. Ya think they would do the right thing and just call so I don't waste my time even thinking about them?
